What they’re saying about us
The papardelle d’ Anatra is phenomenal! The duck is slowly simmered in a thick red sauce. A must try!
Place is definitely wine and dine but casual clothing is acceptable. I wish I kept the picture of our plates after the dinner…wiped clean! Food is amazing!!! I recommend the salmon. If you like fish… This is the freshest melt in your mouth entree. The squid ink pasta is equally delicious! To top it all of the service is AAAAAAHHHMAZING. Gosh, I’ve never been in a restaurant with absolutely attentive, on point waiters. I think there were 3 different waiters picking up after us, refilling waters, asking if we needed more bread, clearing our table. It was a magnificent experience! Towards the end, the manager came up to us and greeted us with a huge friendly smile. He was very appreciative and thanked us for coming.

The food, service and atmosphere of this place was very good. We ate before a Lakers game and had plenty of time to walk over to Staples. The place was calm enough to have a conversation, unlike most of the LA Live restaurants, and the food was really good.
Decided to come here for happy hour and to for Thursday Night Football. Totally lucked out and found a gem. My favorite dish is the orecchiette alla boscaiola. So freakin good!! We also ordered the prosciutto pizza, parmigiana, and a pepperoni mushroom pizza. All delicious!! Beers are pretty good for the price as well $4 for happy hour. Will definitely return.

This place is magnificent. The service is great and the food was amazing. The food is delicate and it was beyond tasty. The restaurant is located in a very hidden location right by the Staples Center off 9th off the 110. You will have to keep an eye out for it. We went in a party of six and every entrée that came out of that kitchen was delicious.
We ordered the tagliatelli with asparagus and black truffle, WOW! The food was the other great attribute, truly awesome. We had the bruschetta as an appetizer, calamari, and the drinks, great!
The server was on point and the free validation was awesome! I recommend this place a million times…..Thank you.
I had the pleasure to visit Casa Nostra for my mothers birthday today and it was amazing! Our server Marco was outstanding, he was attentive, thorough on the menu and just pleasant. He is truly a great attribute to the restaurant by himself.
The food was the other great attribute, truly awesome. I ate the special, tagliatelli with asparagus and black truffle, WOW! It had truffle on top but the entire pasta tasted it, all the way to the bottom! And I paired it with the Bluejito, and it was great, you could really taste the blueberry and limes throughout the drink.
Exceptional restaurant, would definitely come back and bring back all my friends!
This is our go-to Italian restaurant. The service is wonderful, and I’m pretty sure every person that works there is actually from Italy. Even better, they validate for parking in the structure attached to their building…I think the entrance is on 8th…not sure cuz hubby always drives.
My husband and I have both always been very happy with everything we’ve tried here. Squid ink pasta, prosciutto and burrata pizza, papardelle with wild boar ragu just to name a few. They are very accommodating for special requests/substitutions and have great specials every night. The last time we went they had a special for linguine with clams and bottarga. If you don’t know what bottarga is, don’t worry…I didn’t either. Our adorable Italian waiter explained it is a fish that is dried, salted, and shaved over the pasta. He warned me that it is very fishy, and that others had sent it back, finding the taste too overwhelming. I love trying new things and tend to really like strong, even “fishy” flavors, so I gave it a try. By far, it was my favorite dish I’ve ever had there! I wouldn’t actually describe the taste as fishy. It is definitely a strong, dominating flavor that evokes the ocean, but when I here “fishy” I think of the taste of old fish on the border of going bad. This is certainly not that. If you’ve ever had bonito shavings (common on Japanese dishes), the bottarga is like a stronger version of that with a more moist and substantial texture. I told the waiter that i wished that the dish was a permanent menu item, and he told me they can make it anytime I come…just ask. Really?? Amazingly accommodating service.

Solid happy hour and dinner near the Staples Center!
We had a big group for dinner on a weekend evening.
Nice bar with big screens for us to finish watching the game, then a private cozy section of the restaurant for dinner.
Happy hour includes the weekend and it’s half off drinks.
I didn’t taste everyone’s dish but a couple and they were solid Italian classics.
Ink squid pasta with prawns was my favorite.
The cioppino was a close second, full of fresh seafood.
The 24hr braised beef was rich and flavorful.
Beef tartare and the burrata and prosciutto was very good.
The stuffed calamari, I’ll pass on next time.
The service was nice and attentive.
The parking is for 7 hours! Yup, that is why it deserves 5 stars!
Great restaurant near Staples Center!
Will definitely be back!

Probably now part of my top 3 restaurants!
HAPPY HOUR. Fave. That’s all I can say
Food is great as well. I can eat the squid ink spaghetti all day and I think I’ve ordered it every time I’ve come here. All other dishes were delicious as well.
Oh and stick with the Italian waiters, whether you’re ordering food or ordering at the bar.

I came here for dinner with one of my best friends. I actually never noticed it until I found it on yelp. The restaurants has a really nice layout inside with like spanish style flooring with dim lighting. The service was really good, and the food was great. They have a really good happy hour special so we mainly ordered from that menu. We ordred not 1 but 2 EGGPLANT PARMIGIANA. We initially ordered one but after eating the first dish we were like this is sooo good, we need another one. The FRIED CALAMARI was not too battered and had a good crisp with a lightly spiced marinara sauce to go with it. As main dishes we ordered the CIOPPINO which had mussels, and shrimp in a light tomato broth and a fagioloni pasta with a spicy tomato paste. Overall the dishes were really good, and the more I re-read my review I notice a major tomato overload. Try this place out! I’ll definitely be coming back again! ENJOY!

After a long week, I decided to fulfill my squid ink cravings. I came across Casa Nostra while searching for places online. Once I saw the pictures of the squid ink pasta with crab and lobster(Not on the menu), I was immediately sold. My girlfriend and I came and got seated right away. I can easily go on and explain about how nice the ambiance and restaurant was, but I didn’t really care for that. I was there for the FOOD.
Along with the squid ink pasta with crab and lobster, my girlfriend ordered the Risotto Al Nero Di Seppia(Jumbo Sea Scallops and Calamari in a Squid Ink Sauce). The squid ink pasta was just delicious. It was cooked and tossed with a light cherry tomatoes sauce. They lay out half the head of the lobster for a nice presentation, and the lobster meat is mixed in with the pasta. The only complaint I had was that there wasn’t enough crab meat. Even with that said, it was still an excellent and flavorful dish.
The big surprise of the meal was the squid ink risotto. The truth is I didn’t expect much, but it one upped the squid ink pasta. Unlike the pasta where the squid ink is only in the spaghetti noodles, this dish was made with actual squid ink. It gave such a unique and rich flavor, there was an unexplainable creaminess to it. I thought it was amazing. It’s one of those dishes where you can’t put the spoon/fork down. The scallops and calamari in the dish also added great texture and flavor to compliment the risotto. Cant go wrong with more seafood.
Overall, it was an awesome dinner and trip to “flavortown”. I am a big fan of all things squid ink, and this place is near the top of that list. I would definitely come back without hesitation. FEED ME!!! ^(~_~)^

This place is a hidden gem.
Decor is cozy and romantic.
Service is friendly and professional
Pasta… AMAZING. I got some tortellini that was not on the menu. With truffle shaved on top. Out of this world. Better than anything I have ever eaten in USA or Italy.
Must come back. I was actually thinking of keeping this secret to my self. But really something this good needs to be shared.

Do you know that place where everybody knows your name? That would be Casa Nostra! I have been treated like family by a place where the staff treats each other like family.
The atmosphere, the people, the service, the food (oh the amazing food), the music, the drinks (anything you can imagine, they’ll make with fresh ingredients), the happy hour…the best in town by the way. They have the whole package and make everyone, from business person to tourist feel happy and special. I observe the warmth and hospitality they exude to every individual.
I have a long ride home directly into the sun after work. I had just started working in downtown again and live in the Valley; we all know how that goes. I would come downstairs from my office to wait out traffic by eating dinner or studying, next thing I know, I have made a wonderful group of friends!
Want to have the best night, any night of the week? Come to Casa Nostra! I have to say, this has been my favorite place, where I’ve felt at home, in years.
Thanks guys :-)
One of my favorite restaurants in Downtown. I’ve been looking for quality Spaghetti Bolognese for over 10 years, and I finally found it! Also dont sleep on their specials – the papardelle with braised ribs is particularly
Service is great – they recognize us every time we walk in. One of my regular joints for sure.

A gem! This wonderful experience started right when I walked into the classically modern space and was greeted with true Italian warmth from the hostess and owner.
I’ve spent a lot of time in Italy, so I’m pretty picky when it comes to Italian cuisine and Casa Nostra met and exceeded my standards on every level. I began with a glass of prosecco and small plate of bruschetta at the bar, as I waited for my friend. The grilled bread was overflowing with rich red, sweet, juicy tomato and the prosecco was perfect. My friend arrived and we sat down in the main dining room. I love seafood and there are MANY seafood dishes on the menu. I settled on an arugula salad with shaved parmesan and the Gamberoni Toscani….Delicious! Plump, succulent scampi that are butterflied and grilled with italian herbs. Simple and sweet. The portion was generous and the taste is superb! My friend had Polenta and Mushrooms to start, and the classic Cioppino as the main course. The Polenta – wonderful, creamy and fantastically flavored. The Cioppino was full of fresh shrimp, clams, mussels, calamari in a light tomato broth – absolutely perfect taste. We loved everything we ordered.
The whole experience was so lovely…including the wait staff. Our Italian server was attentive and not intrusive, and very knowledgable. He recommended a great bottle of wine, and he had a wonderful presence — taking perfect care of our dining experience.
We were so completely full and happy that we couldn’t dream of having another bite and opted not to have dessert (even though they look incredible) and just ordered an espresso to finish. With the espresso, our server brought a plate of house made cookies and two glasses of Moscato! That’s a really nice surprise — and somehow we managed to devour everything. What a great food, wine, and entire dining experience. I will be going back…very soon.
